The East Haddam Police and the Connecticut State Police, Troop K in Colchester report the following incidents:
BURGLARY - On May 2 at approximately 3:34 p.m., East Haddam Police responded to a complaint of a residential burglary on Mount Parnassus Road in East Haddam. The case is under investigation, and anyone with possible information is asked to contact Officer Jeff Rhoades at the East Haddam Resident Troopers' Office at 860-891-8200. DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND ASSAULT - On May 2 at approximately 6:57 a.m., Roger Patterson, 51, of William F. Palmer Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and 3rd-Degree Assault, as a result of a domestic dispute. Patterson was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on 5/3/16.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND ASSAULT - On May 2 at approximately 6:57 a.m., Carrie Patterson, 38, of William F. Palmer Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and 3rd-Degree Assault, related to a domestic dispute. Patterson was released on a $2,500 bond and given a court date of 5/3/16 at Middletown Superior Court.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THREATENING AND VIOLATION OF CONDITIONS OF RELEASE - On May 2 at approximately 10:16 a.m., Carrie Patterson, 38, of William F. Palmer Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct (Threatening) and 2nd-Degree Violation of Conditions of Release. Patterson was released on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on 5/3/16.
FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT - On May 2 at approximately 9:57 a.m., Vanessa Cunningham, 29, of Joe Williams Road, Moodus was taken into custody by East Haddam Police related to an active warrant for her arrest for 1st-Degree Failure to Appear. Cunningham was released on a $5,000 bond and given a court date of 5/16/16 at New Britain Superior Court.
EVADING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT - On May 7 at approximately 3:01 p.m., a patron of the Town Tavern on Town Street in East Haddam was parked in the parking lot in a 2000 Toyota Corolla, when an unknown vehicle struck her car and then left the parking lot. No injuries were reported and the case remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact the East Haddam Resident Troopers' Office at 860-873-5041. BREACH OF PEACE, THREATENING AND RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT - On May 8 at approximately2:07 p.m., East Haddam Police were dispatched to a Powerhouse Road, Moodus residence for the report of a possible threatening involving a handgun. After a subsequent investigation, police arrested Austin Wosleger, 22, of Powerhouse Road, Moodus and charged him with the above violations. Wosleger was held on a $10,000 bond and presented at Middletown Superior Court on 5/9/16.
POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS - On May 11 at approximately 4:58 p.m., Daniel O'Mara, 26, of Berry Road, East Haddam was arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of a Narcotic Substance. He was released on a $500 bond and scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on 5/27/16. He was then turned over to East Haddam Police for warrant servicing related to a 5/7/16 domestic violence incident and charged with Assault, Threatening, Larceny and Disorderly Conduct. O'Mara was later released on a $5,000 bond and given a court date at Middletown Superior Court on 6/16/16.
POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - On May 11 at approximately 4:58 p.m., Samuel Austin Shepley, 25, of Triangle Drive, Moodus was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Illegal Possession of a Narcotic Substance. He was released on a $500 bond and scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on 5/27/16.
TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS - On May 14 at approximately 5:28 p.m., Salvador Rodriguez, 46, of North Street, Meriden was traveling westbound on Millington Road in East Haddam, operating a 2014 Yamaha XVS-300 motorcycle. Police said that Rodriguez lost control of the bike and left the roadway. Rodriguez was transported to Hartford Hospital via Life Star for evaluation and treatment of injuries. He was issued a verbal warning for Traveling Too Fast for Conditions.
FAILURE TO DRIVE UPON THE RIGHT - On May 14 at approximately 8:15 p.m., Michael Sylvester, 47, of West Road, Colchester was traveling southbound on Early Road in East Haddam, operating a Yamaha dirt-bike. Police said that Sylvester failed to negotiate a turn, crossed over the roadway and into the woods. He was transported to Backus Hospital for evaluation and treatment of leg injuries by East Haddam EMS. Police issued Sylvester a verbal warning for Failure to Drive Upon the Right, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle and Operating Without Motorcycle Classification.
FATAL ACCIDENT - On May 15 at approximately 7:02 p.m., Cheryl Sienna, 49, of Pinehurst Lane, Moodus was traveling southbound on Route 149 in the area of Ray Palmer Road in Moodus, driving a 2005 Honda Pilot. David Seaquist, Jr., 23, of North Moodus Road, Moodus was traveling northbound on Route 149, operating a 2002 Daytona Triumph motorcycle. Police said that as Sienna was attempting to make a left turn into the 7-11 convenience store parking lot, the vehicles collided. Sienna was transported by East Haddam EMS to the Marlborough Clinic for evaluation and treatment of possible injuries. Seaquist was air-lifted to Hartford Hospital via Life Star, and later died from injuries sustained in the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE - On May 16 at approximately 10:46 p.m., Theodore Rowland, 45, of Clark Hill Road, East Haddam was taken into custody related to multiple active extraditable warrants out of Massachusetts. Rowland was charged with (2) counts of being a Fugitive from Justice. He was held on a $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Norwich Superior Court on 5/17/16.
