East Haddam Burglary Suspect Faces Additional Charges

Previously convicted of burglary in California and formerly a resident of Brush Hill Road in Lyme, 25-year-old Justin Weissinger has been served another arrest warrant. Weissinger is currently incarcerated as he awaits pre-trial, and appeared yesterday at New London Superior Court. He is currently being held in lieu of bonds totaling $150,000.

"An East Haddam homeowner reportedly returned home from a business trip to find his anti-theft safe had been broken into and $9,000 taken, along with a two 12-gauge shotguns, a Ruger 22 semi-automatic rifle, a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver, and a Colt .38 revolver. The total value of items stolen was estimated at about $11,000...."
