BURGLARY, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, LARCENY AND CRIMINAL TROVER - On Jan. 17, Austin Shepley, 21, of Triangle Drive, Moodus was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree criminal mischief, 3rd-degree burglary, 5th-degree larceny and 2nd-degree criminal trover. Shepley was observed by Dept. of Energy and Environmental Police conservation officers, breaking into vehicles that were parked at the Machimoodus State Park at 128 Leesville Road in Moodus. Shepley was released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 1/29/13.

Saltus was released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 1/29/13.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS, FAILURE TO DRIVE UPON THE RIGHT, IMPROPER SIGNALING AND FAILURE TO GRANT THE RIGHT OF WAY - On Jan. 24 at approximately 2:24 a.m., Erin Anne Toolan, 23, of East Haddam-Moodus Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with the above violations. Toolan was released on a $500 bond and given a court date of 2/11/13.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND ASSAULT - On Jan. 28 at approximately 7:46 p.m., Anna Davis, 31, of Grist Mill Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with the above violations. Davis was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 1/29/13.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - On Jan. 28 at approximately 7:46 p.m., Miles Temple, 37, of Grist Mill Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with the above violation. Temple was released on a promise to appear and given a court date of 1/29/13.
BURGLARY AND LARCENY - On Jan. 28, East Haddam Police received a report from an employee at the East Haddam Transfer Station on Nichol's Road in Moodus. Bottles and cans were reported stolen from the Boy Scouts' storage trailer. Anyone with possible information is asked to contact Corporal Karl Karabienikoff at the East Haddam Resident Troopers' Office, at 860-873-1226.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS - On Feb. 2 at approximately 12:57 a.m., Todd Goodspeed, 23, of Parker Road, East Haddam was arrested and charged with DUI, evading responsibility, failure to carry a certificate of registration or insurance ID, failure to drive upon the right, making an improper turn and traveling unreasonably fast. Police say that Goodspeed struck a utility pole in the area of #510 Mount Parnassus Road, and then left the scene of the accident. He was located a short distance away, attempting to flee the area. Goodspeed reportedly failed standardized field sobriety tests, and was subsequently transported to Troop K in Colchester for processing. He was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 2/25/13.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - On Feb. 4, State Police were dispatched to a Landing Hill Road, East Haddam address to investigate a report of a burglary that had occurred sometime between 1/25/13 and 2/4/13. Entry was made into the home through a side window, and jewelry was stolen. The case is under investigation.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - During the daytime hours of Feb. 7, a burglary was reported at a Sipple's Hill Road, Moodus residence. Electronics and jewelry were stolen. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - On Feb. 8, the East Haddam Resident Troopers' Office received a report of a burglary that had occurred at an East Haddam-Moodus Road address. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY - On Feb. 9, police received a complaint of a burglary that occurred during the overnight hours into the Sanibel Farms Store on Town Street in East Haddam. EVADING RESPONSIBILITY - On Feb. 12, an employee of the Nathan Hale-Ray Middle School on Clark Gates Road in Moodus reported that someone had impacted her 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee as it sat parked in the parking lot. The case is under investigation, and anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact Corporal Karl Karabienikoff at the East Haddam Resident Troopers' Office at 860-873-1226.
