Jonathan McKenzie, 37, of Fairview Road, Raliegh, NC, was traveling westbound, driving a 2006 Audi A4. McKenzie's vehicle instead collided with a rock and a snowbank that bordered the right side of the roadway. According to police, no students were on the bus at the time and no injuries were reported. The bus driver was issued a verbal warning for failure to drive upon the right.

No injuries were reported, however Kuritz was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions.
