The following information has been provided by the East Haddam Police and the Connecticut State Police, Troop K in Colchester:
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - On Feb. 24, Jonathan Morin, 31, of Lebanon Avenue, Colchester was arrested and charged with the above violation, as a result of a domestic violence investigation. Morin was released on a $2,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 2/25/13.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS - On Feb. 28 at approximately 5:17 p.m., East Haddam police observed a vehicle crossing the center line of the roadway several times while traveling along Route 149, in the area of the Salmon River boat launch in East Haddam. After being pulled over by police and failing the standardized field-sobriety tests, Brittany Richards, 26, of AP Gates Road, East Haddam was arrested and charged with DUI, operating with a suspended license, failure to drive upon the right and operating a motor-vehicle with a defective (loud) muffler. Richards was transported to Troop K in Colchester for processing, then later released on a $750 bond. She was given a court date of 3/13/13 at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY - On Feb. 29, police received a complaint of a residential burglary that had occurred on Lake Hayward Road in the Colchester-East Haddam area. A 40-inch Sony plasma TV was reported stolen, with a possible serial number of #002724283859. Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or might have information that could help police with this investigation is asked to contact Officer Bryan Kowalsky at the Colchester Police Department at 860-537-7270.
POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - On March 1 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Brittany Sidler, 24, of North Moodus Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with the above violations, as a result of a traffic-stop initiated by police. Sidler was later released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear at Norwich Superior Court in Norwich on 3/14/13.
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - On March 3 at approximately 4:35 p.m., Michael Staples, 19, of Joe Williams Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with the above violation, subsequent to a traffic-stop initiated by police. Staples was released on a $500 bond and given a court date of 3/14/13 at Norwich Superior Court in Norwich.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - On March 5, James Blancato, 53, of North Moodus Road, Moodus was arrested and charged with the above violation. Blancato was released on a $500 bond and scheduled to appear at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 3/6/13.
